We're Creative Barracks, a 3,300 sq. ft. art studio and gallery located just steps away from the Grand River in Dunnville, Ontario, dedicated to authentic creative expression for all ages and abilities.
Founded in 2017, we offer a wide range of art classes, lessons, workshops and more for children, youth and adults, while committing to creating inclusive accessible safe space.
We specialize in offering transformative creative experiences for people of all ages and abilities.
We educate with the help of a compassionate staff team of queer-friendly and neuro-divergent creatives. We are a proud partner and supporter of Pride Haldimand Norfolk.

Bekky is our registered early childhood educator, and the first person to join our educator team in 2022.

Heidi is our lead digital arts educator, joining our team with a background in digital illustration and animation studying under renowned Disney artists.
Heidi helps with project and curriculum development for a variety of programs for all ages.

Meet Our Creative Leaders
Lacie & Richard
Lacie and Richard are the creative duo that have kept Creative Barracks thriving through a fire, a relocation, the pandemic and whatever life throws at them.
Lacie is a professional multi-disciplinary artist and educator with more than 15 years experience in public art creation, installation: and facilitation both online and in person. She has been recognized and awarded for her work as a volunteer and leader for arts-related community work in Niagara Region and Haldimand County. Her immersive installations have been enjoyed by thousands as part of festivals across Ontario for the last decade. Lacie facilitates a wide variety of studio programs including acrylic painting, improv theatre, needle-felting, digital art, pottery, stained glass and more.
Richard is a busy father of 3 and a creative entrepreneur, running his own construction based businesses. When he's not serving his customers and spending time with his family, Richard enjoys playing Magic the Gathering, creating unique soundscapes with his electronic equipment, dancing and creating big messy art. He's a mover, a shaker and has the energy to keep up with the creative chaos in and outside of the studio.
Together, Lacie and Richard enjoy immersing themselves in nature and inspiring creative environments when ever they get the chance.
