Lacie and Richard are the dynamic creative duo that have kept Creative Barracks thriving through challenges like a fire, a relocation, and the pandemic, adapting to whatever life throws at them.
Lacie is a professional multi-disciplinary artist and educator with over 15 years of experience in public art creation and installation, both online and in person. She has been recognized and awarded for her dedication as a volunteer and leader in arts-related community work across the Niagara Region and Haldimand County. For the past decade, her immersive installations have captivated thousands at festivals throughout Ontario. Lacie also facilitates a diverse range of studio programs, including acrylic painting, improv theatre, needle-felting, digital art, pottery, stained glass, and more.
Richard, a busy father of three, is a creative entrepreneur who runs his own construction-based businesses. When he's not serving clients or spending quality time with his family, Richard enjoys playing Magic the Gathering, crafting unique soundscapes with his electronic equipment, dancing, and creating big, messy art. He’s a mover, a shaker, and possesses the energy to keep up with the creative chaos both inside and outside of the studio.
Together, Lacie and Richard love to immerse themselves in nature and inspire creative environments whenever they get the chance.
