Our instructors guide you through the process step-by-step, so you can concentrate on enjoying yourself instead of worrying about whether you're doing it "right."

 🎨 STAINED GLASS

Learn the basics of working with stained glass while creating a beautiful piece to take home.

Our stained glass workshops are designed for beginners, with your glass prepared ahead of time so you can spend your workshop actually creating.

Typically $50–$55 + HST

 Get your hands dirty and make something from clay.

Depending on the workshop, you might work with hand-building techniques, sculpting or the pottery wheel.

Pottery is messy, tactile and very satisfying—and no two pieces ever turn out exactly the same.

Typically $35–$45 + HST

Create colourful glass art without the cutting and soldering involved in stained glass.

Choose your colours, arrange your glass and create something that's uniquely yours. We'll take care of the kiln firing after your workshop.

Typically $35–$55 + HST

You don't need to know how to paint.

Our painting experiences are about having fun, trying something new and leaving with something you're happy to hang up at home.

Some are relaxed and step-by-step. Others are designed to be a little more playful.

 You arrive. You meet a few people who are also trying something new.

We show you what you're going to make. Then we walk you through it. There will probably be some:

"Wait... am I doing this right?"

And then:

"Oh! I actually did it."

That's our favourite part.

You don't need to arrive knowing what you're doing.

You just need to give yourself permission to try.

 Our workshops are great for:

And if you're the person who always ends up organizing everyone else's plans, you can send the workshop details to your group and let them decide.

Our workshops aren't designed to turn you into a professional artist.

They're designed to give you a chance to make something without worrying about whether it's good enough.

We'll teach you the techniques.

We'll help when you get stuck.

And we'll make sure you have what you need to finish your project.

Your job is simply to enjoy making it.

 Creative Barracks is an independent art studio in Dunnville offering creative experiences for people of all ages and abilities. We've been helping people make things they're proud of since 2017.

Our studio is intentionally welcoming, relaxed and inclusive.

You won't find a room full of people who already know what they're doing while you're trying to figure out where to hold the paintbrush.
